Tool Library - Habitat for HumanityThis Saturday, the 16th April Ipswich Habitat for Humanity opens its first “Tool Library” to help flood survivors who might have lost their tools and other equipment in the recent floods in Ipswich. The Tool Library is set up in the Car Park of the Ipswich State High School, Brassall, Ipswich (entrance via Hunter Street) and will operate from 8 am to 12 noon every Saturday morning with a range of tools and equipment available, such as a chain saws, hammers and saws, a whipper snipper, a mower, a guerney, drills etc. Some flood survivors may need tools to help them rebuild inside their homes, others might need garden implements to help them re-furbish outside in their yards. A phone call to Trevor on 3812 7889 or 0409 889 386 will ascertain if the Library is stocking something in particular that people need. A nominal refundable deposit will be taken, ID needs to be shown, and most things will have a 2 weeks limit on use before they need to be returned. Members of the Lions Club of Ipswich are working in partnership with Ipswich Habitat to provide the service of Librarians as one of their Projects to also help flood survivors, and they will be manning the Library from Saturday 30th April. http://www.habitat.org.auMore Information18-04-2011
