The Food Innovation and Productivity Incentive (FIPI) Scheme run by the State Government has just been announced.  

The first FIPI funding round will open on 6 February 2012 and close on 2 April 2012. Under the program, dollar-for-dollar grants of $25,000 to $100,000 (excluding GST) are available to Queensland food businesses.

FIPI is seeking projects that will deliver the greatest economic benefit to your business and to Queensland. Preference will be given to projects that embrace new processes and technologies, increase opportunities for collaboration and embed innovative practices in your business or across the industry sector. Examples of projects eligible for FIPI include the:

• design and implementation of new technologies for production, processing or distribution practices
• innovative redesign of existing production or processing lines to improve efficiencies and productivity.

If your project is found to have exceptional merit, funding over $100,000 may also be considered. For more information, please visit FIPI
